WHY RIVER ?
Creative Director Duncan Robertson has held senior management positions on both sides of the marketing fence.
As Creative Director of River he led the company from a trickle to where it become the creative agency in NZ for Jaguar, Land Rover, Mt Ruapehu, Renault, Sika and Volvo.
Then from March 2013 to March 2020 he was NZ Marketing & Communications Manager for global brand Sika. In this role he led the team responsible for the marketing of multiple (700+) category leading Construction, Trade and DIY products.
Twice in those seven years NZ was named #1Sika company in the world (out of 101 countries). And in each of those years, Sika NZ's sales and net profit increased significantly.
This coalface experience has given him genuine understanding and respect for the commercial realities client marketing teams face every day - "Yes it looks pretty ... but will it work?".
